Dr. Diegelmann Receives Recognition for the Development of WoundStat in May 2009.

Dr. Robert Diegelmann received The U.S. Army Medical Research and Material Command for Combat Casualty Care Research Program Award for Excellence for the development and deployment of WoundStat and presented the Sidney S. Negus Memorial Lecture at the May 2009 Virginia Academy of Sciences meeting entitled “Woundstat: From Bench to Bedside and Beyond”.

WoundStat was developed with Kevin Ward, M.D., a VCU emergency physician and associate director of the VCU Reanimation Engineering Shock Center (VCURES) and Gary Bowlin, Ph.D., associate professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering.
