Ninth Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium / ICAMS and LCRD Research Retreat
On Friday October 21, 2011 the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology will host its 9th annual Undergraduate Research Symposium / ICAMS-LCRD Research Retreat. This event is a forum for the presentation of research projects performed by undergraduate students and pre- and post-doctoral researchers from colleges and universities throughout the Southeast. Thus, participants have the opportunity to present research posters to a diverse audience, with a variety of research interests and expertise.
The event starts with a poster
session / pizza luncheon form 12:30-2:30 in the Kontos Medical ciences Building room 104/5, followed by a
Keynote Address / Award Ceremony at
3:00 in Sanger Hall, 2-020. The
American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) will present
undergraduate travel awards to its 2012 Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA,
April 21-25.
The awards will be presented to the best undergraduate poster
presenters. Please note: to receive a
travel award, you must provide documentation that you have registered for
the 2012 ASBMB meeting. Registration is free
for undergraduate students. More information and links to online registration will be posted
here.
